Maeve Bowen – Centre Manager
Maeve has managed Macroom E since it opened in 2004 and has a background in business and enterprise development. Previous to taking the position in Macroom, Maeve has worked as operations manager with a start-up scientific company, with the multi-national Sun Microsystems and with the Enterprise Trust. Maeve has a degree in English and Sociology, a Higher Diploma in Rural Development and an MSc from University College Cork.

Catherine Costello – Projects Coordinator
Catherine has worked with Macroom E since 2007, coordinating various projects to promote both business development and environmental awareness in the locality. She graduated with an honors degree in Applied Languages & Computing from the University of Limerick and has also completed courses in Media Communications at Cork Institute of Technology. She has previously worked with the Heritage Unit assisting the Archaeological Officer, working on the development of the Listed Building Framework and designing in-house promotional material.

Magali Bolger - Accounts & Administration
Magali has looked after the accounts & administration of the centre since 2007. She moved to Ireland from France in 1996 after graduating with a Baccalauréat in French literature and languages and a Brevet de Technicien Supérieur in Travel/Tourism administration and marketing. She also completed the E.C.D.L. (European Computer Driving Licence) in 2006. Her background is in retail management with extensive experience in accounts procedure, general administration, HR & customer service.

Michelle Green
Michelle joined Macroom E in October 2010 as Project Manager for the SMILE Resource Exchange. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Government & Public Policy from University College Cork. A qualified Business and CSPE (Civic Social Political Education) teacher, she also completed a Higher Diploma in Education in UCC. Previous to joining Macroom E she practiced as a secondary school teacher and most recently worked as Programme Manager with Common Purpose, a not for profit, educational organisation, specialising in cross sectoral leadership development. Most recently she completed a certificate in Business Management.

Adam Shanley works as Project Co-Ordinator of the SMILE Resource Exchange project in Macroom-E. He recently graduated with a professional masters in Planning & Sustainable Development from University College Cork. Before this he had graduated with a double honours degree in English & Geography from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. He was a very active member in clubs and societies in both universities, attaining the position of chairman of the SUAS charity society in NUIM and Activities Officer of the Planning Society in UCC.
Adam has always worked hard towards attaining his career goals. He has worked for marketing and promotional campaigns for companies and brands all over Ireland since the age of 18. As he progressed to masters level he worked alongside a well-established Dublin based planning consultancy as an intern gathering invaluable experience that he has been able to apply in his career to date while also sharing some tips and tricks with the consultancy to enter into the social media marketing realm.
